Congratulations to seniors Emily Solomon and Anna Cassidy who have been selected to represent the USA in the International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT) held in Singapore July 5-12. A group of physics students, under the direction of Dr. William McWatters, has worked for six months to solve three physics problems and present those solutions in a "physics fight" hosted by the Chester County Intermediate Unit during the national tournament on April 1.  As a result, three students have been selected to compete in Singapore, of which Solomon and Cassidy are two.  Natalie Mowry, an Octorara junior, is an alternate for the team.  Congratulations to Dr. McWatters and all students who were a part of the Octorara Teams' success!  Good luck in Singapore to the United States National IYPT Team and Dr. McWatters who will be accompanying the team.
